Terms of Service

Before you proceed to ILIAS you accept the following Terms of Service.

By using the CONSENSUS eLearning portal "CONSENSUS Consulting Academy" (hereinafter "portal") I declare my agreement with the following points to CONSENSUS Consulting GmbH (hereinafter "CONSENSUS"):

1. Scope of application

The following terms of service represent the general terms and conditions for the use of the interactive portal (https://www.consensusconsulting.com/academy or https://www.prince2plus.com/academy) and all associated sub-pages.

2. User group

The portal may only be used by clients and employees of CONSENSUS. Other persons may be permitted to use the portal upon request.

A user is defined as any person who has set up a user access (= login) on the portal, or who sets up his/her own user access using the registration code provided by CONSENSUS.

3. Creation and deletion of accounts

The creation of an account is only permitted to CONSENSUS employees.

Users may only create an account after purchasing a registration code.

The user name must be entered in a free text field. Since this is a learning system, an identifying user name must be chosen for didactic reasons. It is important to ensure that there is a clear personal reference. Fun names are not permitted as user names. CONSENSUS can rename accounts with such names or allow exceptions in justified cases. First and last name as well as the user name of the user will be displayed to course administrators and participants in the respective assigned objects (e.g. courses, groups, forums and when using the internal mail system).

Accounts can be deleted at the request of the user. Accounts of members and employees of CONSENSUS will be deleted when they leave the company. Accounts can be deleted by the administrator at the end of the booked course or after 90 days, if after the account has been set up a first registration has not been made during this period.

Upon initial registration as a user or upon first-time login, the user acknowledges these terms and conditions (and in particular the guidelines for users set out in point 6 below). By registering a user access these terms and conditions are accepted as binding. They are also valid, even if no explicit reference to the validity of these terms and conditions is made when using further services of CONSENSUS.

The user is obligated to provide personal data requested during registration in a truthful manner. This information will also be used for registration for the official exams. If information is provided that is not true or does not belong to the person, the exam cannot be recognised. Any claim for damages resulting from this will be rejected. Furthermore, CONSENSUS reserves the right to delete the account. A refund of fees is excluded.

4. Personal Account

The portal account is a personal account. Only one account is allowed per person. The personal data provided during registration or changed later must be correct. CONSENSUS reserves the right to verify the data in individual cases.

By using the portal, users assure CONSENSUS that:

  • the information they have submitted to CONSENSUS in order to register as a user is complete, correct, and currently valid;

  • they will not disclose their password to anyone else;

  • that they accept the current version of these terms of service;

  • they consent to the processing of their personal data in accordance with point 7 of these terms of service.

If certain user information has been knowingly submitted incorrectly or if the user data is deliberately not corrected when the user data is changed, or if these provisions are violated in any other way, the Operator has the right to temporarily suspend or terminate the right to use the Service.

The users are responsible for any use of the offer, which is carried out with the help of their user IDs and passwords. They must ensure that their user IDs and passwords are protected against unauthorized use. They are obliged to inform CONSENSUS immediately if they notice any misuse of their access data.

5. Course-specific user data

The course administrators and CONSENSUS staff can view the user data that the participants themselves actively leave behind in the courses. The use of this data is permitted for course administration or to ensure the operability and optimization of the system. The data protection regulations are obeyed.

6. Regulations for users

Users may post content (e.g. texts or media files); they must ensure themselves that they are entitled to do so (e.g. copyright, trademark law, personal rights). It is not permitted to distribute content for which no corresponding rights of use exist or which is xenophobic, racist, politically extreme, religiously extreme or sexually offensive. In personal dealings with each other an appropriately polite and respectful tone is expected. The portal and its internal mail system may not be used to distribute advertising (SPAM).

The further distribution of content posted on the portal is generally only permitted with the consent of the respective rights holder, in case of doubt with CONSENSUS; this also applies to forum contributions as well as messages from the internal mail system.

The right of use is not transferable.

7. Notes on data protection

The information of name, gender and e-mail address is required for the generation of an account. Users can voluntarily enter additional data in the registration form and on the profile page. The data entered in the registration form can be disclosed, changed or deleted by the user within the platform itself.

Employees of CONSENSUS who have confirmed a corresponding data protection declaration can, as course administrators, view and export the data of their course participants listed under "Registration" for the administration of the event associated with the course.

When listing course members or searching for e-mails, user name and first and last name are always visible to other users of the system. The visibility of further details can be activated by users in their personal profile.

Course administrators can activate learning progress data for individual learning modules, exercises, tests or courses. This data can be viewed by administrators and tutors of courses. In addition every user can view all his own learning progress data via his personal desktop.

Furthermore, the data protection regulations apply, which can be found on our website at https://www.consensusconsulting.com/datenschutz.

8. Use of teaching materials

All teaching materials made available in the access-protected areas are intended exclusively for study by those with access rights and may not be passed on to third parties. Reproduction in physical or digital form is prohibited.

9. Copyright

Users are responsible for compliance with copyright law. Particular attention is drawn to copyright infringements, e.g. by copying software or other protected works in violation of copyright law (2, 15 ff., 97 ff. UrhG).

10. About these „Terms of Service“

These terms of service can be viewed online on the login page of the portal via the link "Terms of Service".

CONSENSUS is entitled to change any section of these terms of service at any time. Significant changes will be announced to the users and come into effect as soon as they are published online on the portal. If users do not agree to the changes, they must terminate their subscription to the service. By their continued use of the offer, they agree to the amended terms of service and are bound by the provisions of the amended terms of service.
